Yesterday we took a trip to the design centre, since it’s an open house on the weekends. To my disappointment, they have not released any selections for our phase. I felt rather overwhelmed in there, probably because I had no idea where to start. I’m sure the process will be much better as we progress.
We did however, go to the sale office again to finalize our architect’s choices, we chose:
- the curved arch package
- the energy star package
there was much debate over getting the 9’ ceilings, but we learned that standard was 8’ ceiling, so we were paying $6824 for 1 FOOT. We just couldn’t justify it. We like everything else in the floorplan, so we didn’t have to get much done. Ryan opted out from the ‘chef’s kitchen’, which basically provided an island because our plan now had a walk-in-pantry, & he has to have a walk-in-pantry :)
